For various reasons, I had taken a fair break from the darts, well Last night played the first return game number 3087255 my last game before then was 285863, a hiatus of 2,801,392 games.

Time sure flies by.

Ha, that game number gap is brutal. I had a similar break last year, life just gets in the way and the board sits in the corner gathering dust.

The funny thing is the muscle memory comes back quicker than I expected, but the scoring confidence takes a lot longer. First few games back I was second guessing every dart. Took me a couple of weeks of just throwing for fun before it clicked again.

Actually curious how many games you've played since getting back. That gap of 2.8 million is something else, must feel like a completely fresh start in some ways.

I noticed on my comeback that playing against real opponents online helped more than solo practice. Something about the pressure of a live game that sharpens focus faster.
